Wanted - your pledge to help save lives through the RACQ Community Helicopter Rescue Network - Donations fully tax deductible.
RACQ members have the chance to help keep Queensland's community helicopter rescue network in the air and saving lives by donating to the RACQ Charitable Trust Fund.
The Club extends its support to this vital arm of the state's emergency services through its sponsorship of RACQ CareFlight's operations in southern Queensland, the Rockhampton-based RACQ Capricorn Rescue and Mackay's RACQ CQ-RESCUE.
Like the RACQ, the state's helicopter rescue services are on duty 365 days a year providing peace of mind for Queenslanders. Many of the missions of these 'flying intensive care units' involve attendance at motor vehicle crashes to deliver rapid medical treatment to injury victims, even on remote rural roads. And it's important to remember that these types of critical mercy missions are carried out at no cost to those who benefit from the rescue crew's professional skill and care.
Club members are invited to lend their support by pledging a donation to the RACQ Charitable Trust Fund to coincide with their annual RACQ subscription renewal payment.
Donations to the RACQ Charitable Trust Fund are distributed among the three RACQ-sponsored community helicopter rescue organisations to help them continue their vital aero-medical and rescue work and to assist in enhancing the already excellent levels of service they provide to Queenslanders.
Club members can pledge a tax-deductible donation to the RACQ Charitable Trust Fund by nominating a donation amount and entering your membership number. The nominated amount will then be added to your next RACQ subscription renewal notice.
A receipt for the donation will be issued to you by the trust and is needed to claim your tax deduction.
Registered in Queensland as a charity, the RACQ Charitable Trust Fund has obtained the necessary approval from the Australian Taxation Office for donations to be tax deductible.
