Costs & The Law
| Motor Vehicle Registration fees in Queensland | |
|---|---|
| In this FactSheet, RACQ has analysed the Queensland motor vehicle registration fees and compared them with the arrangements in all other states and territories. RACQ confirms that the Queensland Government charges the highest registration fees in Australia. When combined with the loss of the fuel subsidy, Queensland now has the highest vehicle ownership and operating costs. The increase in motoring taxes will not go to additional transport projects, instead it goes to consolidated revenue to plug gaps in the budget from other shortfalls. | |
