Showcase Awards for Excellence

Education Queensland's Showcase Awards for Excellence recognise and reward state schools for education practices that significantly improve student's learning outcomes. Road safety docudramas

RACQ provides financial assistance to stage a series of docudramas for secondary schools. These productions depict realistic recreations of crash scenes with expert commentary provided by road safety professionals.

Car buying information

RACQ produces a Car Buyer's Guide to inform members and the community of the issues involved in buying a car. About 30 000 copies of this guide are distributed annually to schools and TAFEs across Queensland. RACQ also runs information sessions on car buying at high schools in Brisbane and major regional centres across Queensland.

Tertiary scholarships and prizes

RACQ also provides a variety of tertiary scholarships and prizes in fields related to the Club's core interests, such as traffic and automotive engineering, police traffic law studies and tourism and hospitality.

RACQ All Schools Pedal Prix

Secondary schools from throughout Queensland compete in this event to design, build and race a variety of human-powered vehicles.

Older People Speak Out (OPSO)

RACQ provides support for this worthy organisation to take the Club's Years Ahead program and other seminars of interest to older Queenslanders in regional centres. Find out more about Older People Speak Out.

RACQ Litter Prevention Award

RACQ pioneered Queensland's anti-litter movement in the 1960s. Continuing this tradition, RACQ is proud to sponsor the efforts of Keep Australian Beautiful (Queensland) to reduce the amount of roadside litter through the Litter Prevention Award - a section of the annual Ergon Tidy Towns Awards. Queensland Road Safety Awards

Bike Week

RACQ provides financial and logistical support to Bicycle Queensland in the staging of this event to encourage healthy lifestyle involvement.

RACQ MotorFest

This is the largest display of classic, vintage and veteran vehicles held in Queensland. With some 800 vehicles now taking part each year and many thousands of dollars being raised for charity, it gives Queenslanders the opportunity to experience how far we have progressed in a century of motoring.
