Camping Card International

A Camping Card International (CCI) provides protection against legal liability for bodily injury and/or property damage to third parties in camping grounds.  Some camping grounds offer a discount when a CCI is produced.

The CCI is regarded as a camper's identity document and may be deposited with the campsite manager in lieu of your official identity documents (passport).

You can apply to purchase a CCI at RACQ's Brisbane Central City office located next to the GPO in Post Office Square.

When applying for a CCI, you will be required to supply:

  • Auto club membership details
  • Passport details
  • An itinerary of the countries you are travelling to, and
  • The number of people travelling

There are rules you must abide by, and you will be required to sign an agreement as part of your application for a CCI.

The card cost is $25.  CCI's are available only to auto club members.  The card can be issued on the spot to approved applicants and is valid for 12 months from issue while the person remains a valid club member.
