Having the following information will assist in lodging your claim as quickly as possible:
- Contact name and phone number of the person holding the policy
- Location details of where the damage has occurred
- If possible, a description of what property damage has occurred

The following information is provided for the assistance of RACQ Insurance Customers:
- The most important thing is to stay safe. Do not attempt any clean up that may put yourself, family members or anyone else at risk
- If urgent assistance is required contact your local SES on 13 2500
- Have your gas and electricity connections checked by a licensed contractor before use
- Immediately dispose of any items which may present a health hazard
- You can dispose of any damaged items that you need to as part of the clean up and do not need to wait for an assessor to inspect. Make a list of all damaged items (including brand and model numbers) and take photos of the damaged items if possible.
- If you need to dispose of carpet or window coverings, keep a small sample if possible
- If you require essential items such as bedding, clothing or food, you may be eligible for an emergency payment. Please keep receipts for any items you purchase.
