Can I claim against damage caused by transport vehicles?

It depends on the facts and circumstances. If the damage to your vehicle was caused by an object falling off the back of a utility or truck carrying a load of goods/objects that were not properly secured, you can send a letter of demand to the driver who was transporting the goods/objects at the relevant time. If the other driver fails to respond to the letter of demand further action can then be taken in court against them.

Alternatively, if you are comprehensively insured at the time of the incident, you could also have the matter dealt with by your insurer after you make a claim.
