Private sales are the most common way of disposing of unwanted used cars.
A private sale is also likely to be the most profitable, but will require the greatest amount of time and effort on your part.
There are a number of private sale options. You can:
- Advertise in a local newspaper or a classified publication (eg Trading Post)
- Advertise in a specialist classified car magazine
- Advertise online on one of the many car sales web sites, or
- Display your car at a car market
