RACQ Drive Assist offers programs for individual drivers and businesses with fleet vehicle drivers, wanting to refresh and improve driving skills and knowledge in a safe learning environment.

The RACQ Drive Assist Program is a full day course for licensed drivers, which focuses on building effective techniques and sensible attitudes for driving more safely in everyday situations. The program aims to instil positive driving behaviours and a responsible philosophy towards ourselves as drivers and other road users.

Full day Caravan and Towing courses are run periodically throughout the year. Half day caravan towing courses are run regularly and are by member request.

Both the full day and half day courses give members a better understanding of the relevant towing laws and regulations. It also provides members with practical experience in regard to pre-purchase, setting-up, safe towing and manoeuvring of caravans and trailers. Full day programs cover many and varied theory and practical sessions, while the half day sessions are very individualised and focus on specific areas of concern.

4WD Low Range Bush Driving Course

The RACQ 4WD Low Range Bush Driving Course is a full day nationally recognised course for RACQ members, which focuses on building effective techniques to safely drive a 4WD vehicle off road in difficult terrain. This course can be readily tailored to suit the specific requirements of individual members. This course provides members with the skills and knowledge required to use the appropriate range, gear and technique to drive a 4WD vehicle through and over different and difficult terrain and use basic vehicle recovery techniques.

Sand Driving Course

The RACQ Sand Driving Course will provide members with the opportunity to tackle a variety of different and challenging sand obstacles in a safe and supervised environment. This course will also provide members with confidence in their own ability and the capability of their vehicle. For the experienced driver, the course will provide the opportunity to enhance their driving skills and develop greater confidence. We will equip members to handle varying conditions.
