On the Road to Greener Motoring provides a series of fact sheets and information in an effort to help reduce greenhouse gases created from motoring.

Australian Automobile Association Climate Change Statement

This climate change statement forms the framework for action on climate change by the AAA clubs. Following this introduction, which includes an examination of the role of the car in Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions, a number of guiding principles that underpin the AAA clubs’ standpoint on climate change are discussed. The final section sets out the AAA club’s climate change objectives, and for each of these, key policy positions are described.

What Motorists Think About Environmental Issues

AAA regularly undertakes national surveys of motorists’ attitudes and priorities. This survey was undertaken in 2007 and was the ninth survey of motorists’ views undertaken by ANOP for the AAA that decade.

Cutting Motoring Club Greenhouse Gas Emissions

As large businesses, AAA clubs recognise the responsibility to build on their existing environmental initiatives with comprehensive carbon strategies for their own operations. Thus, they are also undertaking a rigorous assessment of their direct and indirect carbon emissions, developing plans to avoid and reduce these emissions and, for those emissions that cannot be eliminated, investing in carbon offsets.
