Over the past few decades there have been significant changes to roads and traffic. Some of the driving habits that drivers have relied on for many years may not continue to keep them safe and illness or injuries are also a factor. An unbiased assessment can provide an honest opinion of how a driver is handling driving on today's busy roads and provide valuable advice on how to continue to drive safely.
RACQ’s Driver Education team provides a post-licence Driver Assessment Service. The driver assessment service is a 50-minute, one-on-one practical appraisal that covers:
- driving skills and behaviours
- application of road rules in traffic conditions
- hazards that drivers may come across in their every-day driving
Each driver is given practical advice on how they can improve their driving behaviour. This advice enables them to become a safer, more aware driver and road user in general.
