Bicycle Helmet Wearing Survey - June 1997

The RACQ conducted annual statewide bicycle helmet wearing surveys between 1988 and 1991. To see the effects of changes in legislation and helmet design and the public education campaigns which have been conducted, the RACQ conducted the 1997 Bicycle Helmet Wearing Survey at locations throughout Queensland such as primary schools, secondary schools, bikeways, parks and shopping centres.

This 1991 report includes data collected during the period 29 September 1991 to 24 November 1991. As in previous years Branch Managers conducted the survey in their respective areas spread throughout the major centres of Queensland and Brisbane.
