Recommended Driving Schools
Learner drivers must have logged 100 hours of supervised on-road driving before they can go for their licence.
The Queensland Government are allowing the first 10 hours of lessons with an accredited driving school instructor to count as 30 hours in your logbook.
When you want to start driving lessons and are looking for an accredited driving instructor, don’t assume cheapest is best.
As well as price, you also need to check:
- the driver trainer’s licence and experience
- how long a lesson is
- whether they follow a structured approach with defined objectives
The RACQ's state-wide network of Recommended Driving Schools helps novice drivers take the right steps towards establishing correct driving skills, knowledge and behaviour. These schools also cater for post-licence drivers.
