Located on the top of the Reef Hotel Casino right in the heart of Cairns, Cairns Wildlife Dome is a spectacular, all-weather wildlife exhibit encased by a 20 metre high, glass dome.
Immerse yourself in a rainforest environment whilst parrots, cockatoos and other birds native to the Wet Tropics region fly freely around you. Get up close to cute rainforest wallabies as they roam freely through the Dome. Observe curlews, frogmouths and kookaburras along with other animals such as frogs, turtles, pythons, freshwater crocodiles, lizards and adorable bettongs.
Daily educational and Informative shows and presentations give you a glimpse into the secrets of the amazing Wet Tropics Rainforest and what makes it so unique.
Come face-to-face with “Goliath” the huge saltwater crocodile, in an underwater viewing tank. “Cuddle a Koala” photo is also available as a souvenir of your experience (extra cost).
Open 9am to 6pm daily (except Christmas Day). Anzac Day opening time is 1:30pm.
