Itinerary
| Day 1 | Fly from Brisbane to Yangon (overnight flight) |
| Day 2 | Yangon - Upon arrival meet with a local guide and enjoy Burmese cuisine for lunch before setting off for a sightseeing tour. |
| Day 3 | Yangon - Prome - Transfer by coach from Yangon to Pyay port to embark the Rv Orient Pandaw. Enjoy a visit to the 5-8th centre archaeological site of Thiri-ya-kittiya, former centre of the Pyu civilisation. |
| Day 4 | Thayet - Myo Frontier Post - Visit Thayet-myo a pleasant colonial town which once guarded the border between Royal Myanmar and British Myanmar. The town retains its colonial character and you will have time to visit the markets and ride by horse and cart through the former British Botanical gardens. |
| Day 5 | Minhla Forts - Visit Minhla and Gwechaung Forts, Italian and French designed forts built to keep the British at bay from Royal Myanmar. |
| Day 6 | Magwe Gold Bricks - Ride trishaws or cross the river by sampan to reach the magnificent Myat-thalon Pagoda. |
| Day 7 | Sale - Sale was the home town of U Ponna, the most celebrated poet and playwrite in King Mindon's court. |
| Day 8 | Pagan - The World Heritage Site of Pagan is an absolute wonder in the 'Golden Land'. Originally home to 10,000 temples constructed between the 11th and 13th centuries, there are still 3,000 scattered around. Enjoy a tour of a selection of these listed monuments. |
| Day 9 | Pagan - Ohn Ne Kyaung - Enjoy some explorations of Pagan this morning before casting off for the Ohn Ne Kyaung village, a lively and colourful community. |
| Day 10 | Yandabo - This rarely visited village, with no access via road is dependant on the river economy. Specialising in terracotta pots you will see the pottery making process and visit Pandaw School and clinic. |
| Day 11 | Arrive Mandalay - Disembark the Rv Orient Pandaw and begin a local tour. Walk up Mandalay Hill with offers a great view of the countryside, Irrawaddy River and the city centre. |
| Day 12 | Mandalay - Ava and Sagaing - Cross a bridge over the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing. Covered with 600 white painted pagodas and monasteries, and is home to 3000 monks and 100 meditation centres. Visit various pagodas, a local Burmese market and a small pottery village. We then continue south to Ava, and take a tour by horse and cart, to visit the old wooden Bagaya Monastery and the remains of the Royal Palace and fort. |
