Itinerary
Day 1 - Vancouver
Be met and transferred to your hotel.
Two Nights: Vancouver.Hotel: The Fairmont Waterfront with spectacular views.
Day 2 - Vancouver Sights
Tour the sights of Vancouver. Then walk along the Capilano Suspension Bridge before free time.
Day 3 - Rocky Mountaineer
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train and enjoy the comforts of GoldLeaf Service. Pass through the Coast Mountains, then enter the Fraser Canyon. Follow the Thompson River to Kamloops. Kamloops, hotel assigned by Rocky Mountaineer. Kamloops has limited accommodation (two or three-star hotels).
Day 4 - Mt Robson, Jasper
Aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, follow the Thompson River into the Monashee Mountains and past Mt Robson. Arrive in the fairytale Jasper National Park.
Two Nights: Hotel The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, a grand Canadian lodge.
Day 5 - Jasper
Spend a full day in Jasper today, enjoying your selected touring activity.
Day 6 - Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise
Journey along the Icefields Parkway, stopping to drive onto the Athabasca Glacier. Then, arrive at Lake Louise, and choose from one of the chateau’s outstanding restaurants for dinner tonight. Hotel: The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, in Banff National Park.
Day 7 - Moraine Lake, Banff National Park
Join a Mountain Heritage Guide for a stroll along the shore of Lake Louise. Then visit Moraine Lake before journeying to Banff, where you will ride the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain. When arriving at your hotel, you’ll Meet a Mountie and hear colourful stories about this Canadian symbol. In the evening, choose where you dine at The Fairmont Banff Springs, the Castle in the Rockies. Two Nights: Hotel: The Fairmont Banff Springs.
Day 8 - Banff Sights
Enjoy a tour of Banff, then join your selected activity from a range that includes the Banff Experience or a helicopter flight.
Day 9 - Sun Peaks
Descend from the Rockies, crossing Kicking Horse Pass into Yoho National Park. Travel through Glacier and Mt Revelstoke national parks and arrive in Sun Peaks.
Hotel: Delta Sun Peaks Resort.
Day 10 - Thompson Okanagan, Whistler
Travel through the rugged Thompson Okanagan region to the spectacular alpine resort of Whistler. After dinner spend time exploring the lively pedestrian village.
Two Nights: Whistler, Hotel: Westin Resort and Spa.
Day 11 - Whistler
Enjoy breakfast at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre and gain a fascinating insight into local heritage. This afternoon, enjoy your selected touring activity.
Day 12 - Georgia Strait, Victoria
You may like to take our optional one-hour floatplane across beautiful Georgia Strait to Victoria, which you can then explore in the afternoon (own expense). Alternatively, enjoy the scenery along the Sea to Sky Highway, stopping at Shannon Falls. Cruise the Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island and head to Victoria. Two Nights: Victoria. Hotel: Delta Ocean Pointe.
Day 13 - Victoria, Butchart Gardens
This morning visit the famous Butchart Gardens for breakfast. Later choose your touring option in Victoria.
Day 14 - Holland America Line Cruise
Return to Vancouver and board your cruise ship.
Seven Night Cruise: Holland America Line’s ms Zuiderdam in a Verandah Stateroom.
Day 15 - Cruise the Inside Passage
Enjoy a day at sea, gliding over the Inside Passage.
Day 16 - Juneau
Arrive today in Juneau, Alaska’s capital, at the base of grand mountains. Experience the native Alaskan influence.
Day 17 - Skagway
Journey to Skagway, a gateway for the gold rush. Spend time exploring a town where frontier history still lives on.
Day 18 - Glacier Bay
Wake to the breathtaking sight of Glacier Bay National Park.
Day 19 - Ketchikan
Tour Ketchikan’s sights this afternoon. You may also wish to sample some of the local delicacy, salmon.
Day 20 - The Inside Passage
Continue south through the scenic Inside Passage.
Day 21 - Vancouver
Arrive back in Vancouver and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
