Itinerary

Day 1    Arrive Zurich
Welcome to Zurich, Switzerland’s financial centre. Hotel: Zurich Marriott.

Day 2    Zurich - Liechtenstein - St. Moritz
Admire snow-capped mountains and sparkling lakes as you cross Switzerland. Visit Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. Travel south via the famous ski resort of Klosters, across the Flüela Pass (when open) to Susch in the lower Engadin valley. Arrive later at St. Moritz, a picturesque world-renowned winter sports resort. Hotel: Laudinella.

Day 3    St. Moritz - Stresa - Italian Lakes (Baveno)
Cross the Julier Pass and follow the San Bernadino route to Bellinzona in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino. In the lakeside town of Stresa, view the beautiful Lake Maggiore. Hotel: Simplon.

Day 4    Italian Lakes (Baveno) - Zermatt
See the majestic Simplon Pass as you travel through the Alps. In Tasch, electric mini-buses and taxis take you up to the picturesque village of Zermatt. Spend time relaxing in this serene Alpine paradise, or enjoy a mountain ride in a cable car with fantastic views of the Matterhorn, an iconic emblem of the Swiss Alps. Hotel: Ambassador.

Day 5    Zermatt - Geneva - Lake Geneva (Evian)
Traverse the Rhône Valley to Lake Geneva and view Lord Byron's splendid Castle of Chillon. Drive along the shores of the lake to Geneva, where you view the Reformation Monument, the old Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain and the United Nations building during your sightseeing tour. Continue along the southern shores to Evian - renowned for its mineral water - where you stay tonight.  Hotel: Hilton Evian-Les-Bains.

Day 6    Evian - Berne - Interlaken - Brienz - Lucerne (2 nights)
Your relaxing journey continues through breathtaking landscape. Stop in Berne on the way to Interlaken, which lies in the shadows of the Jungfrau Mountain between the lakes of Thun and Brienz. Stop for lunch and a wood carving demonstration before crossing the Brünig Pass, arriving later in Lucerne, your home for the next two nights. Hotel: Grand Europe.

Day 7    Lucerne orientation and free time
A walking orientation highlights this medieval city including a visit to the Lion Monument and views of the famous Chapel Bridge. Spend free time afterwards exploring on your own and shopping. 

Day 8    Lucerne - Depart Zurich
Say farewell to Switzerland and your new found friends at the end of your alpine holiday.
