Wheel-y good timing for Redcliffe teen

It was a case of serendipity for 18 year-old Nathan Alexander when he received a phone call telling him he had won a brand new car from RACQ – at the same time as he was surfing the internet looking to upgrade his old wheels.

The Club yesterday presented the Redcliffe teenager with his new Hyundai Veloster GDi.

Mr Alexander was the second RACQ member to win a car in this latest competition.

“It couldn’t have happened at a better time, I was literally searching for a new car when I got the call telling me I’d won,” Mr Alexander said.

“The first thing I’m going to do is take my mates for a drive.”

Mr Alexander entered the competition by switching his RACQ Roadside Assistance account to a direct debit payment process.

RACQ CEO Assistance Glenn Toms said the Club was proud to give-away the vehicle to someone who really needed it.

“Everyone remembers the excitement and freedom of getting your licence and what better way to celebrate than with a brand new car,” Mr Toms said.

“Not only will Nathan be able to take his friends on an awesome road trip but he’ll be able to do it in a safe and reliable car.”

Until December 2017, RACQ will give away 12 new Hyundai cars, each valued at up to $28,800.
