Don’t miss out on vital drought funding
RACQ Foundation has reminded community organisations to apply for drought funding, with the latest round of applications closing in two weeks.
RACQ Foundation spokesperson Renee Smith said the drought had devastating effects on many organisations’ ability to deliver critical services to regional communities.
“With more than 80 percent of the State affected by the ongoing drought, bringing the community together is more important than ever,” Ms Smith said.
“Community organisations that assist with drought recovery efforts can apply for funding from RACQ Foundation of up to $50,000 and up to $200,000 in exceptional circumstances to help them get back on their feet.”
Ms Smith said more than 160 community groups had received more than $7 million in funding since RACQ Foundation was established following the 2011 floods.
Applications for the current RACQ Foundation funding close 31 January 2017.
The application form can be downloaded on the RACQ website.
