Baby boy suffers burns after fall in open fire

A four month old Gympie boy fell into an open fire suffering burns to his left arm.

A paediatric team from Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital was airlifted to Gympie Hospital on Sunday night by the RACQ LifeFlight helicopter so they could assist in the transport of the four month old and his mother back to Brisbane where the boy has undergone further treatment.

The boy was in a stable condition when he arrived at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.
