Road closures in place for International Women’s Day Fun Run
The State’s peak motoring body has reminded Brisbane drivers traffic changes would be in place for the annual International Women’s Day Fun Run, proudly sponsored by RACQ.
RACQ spokesperson Clare Hunter said several roads and bridges in and around the River City would be temporarily closed on Sunday to make way for the annual breast cancer fundraiser.
“Between 3am and 11am, changed traffic conditions will be in place through parts of South Bank, the CBD, New Farm and Kangaroo Point, as well as on the Victoria and Goodwill Bridges,” Ms Hunter said.
“Signage and traffic controllers will be deployed to help direct motorists around the area, and keep runners safe, and local access will be maintained for nearby residents and businesses.
“It’s really important everyone plans ahead to avoid being caught in lengthy traffic delays – we know your patience and cooperation will be appreciated.”
A full list of road closures could be found on the International Women’s Day Fun Run website.
