RACQ has warned commuters to expect significant delays on the Pacific Motorway after a fatal motorbike crash caused its closure at Nerang.

The Courier Mail reported it was believed a ladder which fell from a ute was suspected of causing the crash.
RACQ spokesperson Clare Hunter said emergency services closed the Pacific Motorway northbound at Exit 71 around 6:30 this morning.
“Crews are working at the scene, so the Pacific Motorway has been closed to give them plenty of space,” Ms Hunter said.
“Cars are at a standstill because northbound traffic isn’t getting through so take Exit 69 and go around, otherwise delay your travel.”
Ms Hunter said in Central Queensland the Bruce Highway was shut in both directions after a truck and car collided.
“It’s expected the Bruce Highway 10 kilometres north of Marlborough will be closed for several hours so there are diversions in place,” she said.
“Police have diverted traffic via Marlborough-Serena Road but we’re urging drivers to avoid the area completely.”
Ms Hunter said south east traffic was also being delayed after another crash southbound on the Bruce Highway at Bald Hills.
“We’re seeing heavy congestion into Brisbane so check RACQ Road Conditions before you set off for the latest traffic advice.”
