Win books to help foster a love of reading!
The Premier’s Reading Challenge is back for 2017 and QT Mutual Bank is proud to once again be involved.
QT Mutual Bank CEO Steve Targett said this year they have partnered with RACQ to co-sponsor the event aimed at improving literacy and fostering a love of reading in students across the State.
“Through the RACQ merger process, RACQ pledged to donate $1 for every merger vote towards books for the 2017 Premier’s Reading Challenge,” Mr Targett said.
“We’re thrilled that we received 42,526 votes from our members, giving a significant boost to our sponsorship commitment.”
“This means we will be giving away more than 4,700 books, valued at more than $70,000.”
Throughout the coming months children from prep to grade nine are encouraged to read 15 books, or as many as possible.
Members of the public can get involved and win a share of 970 books, to help spread the joy of reading.
Follow QT Mutual Bank on Facebook and enter the competitions every Monday – Thursday throughout June for your chance to win.*
Next month head to qtmb.com.au/readingchallenge and complete a short survey to win one of 60 book packs.**
Great prizes will also be on offer at the Kids’ Corner at this year’s RACQ MotorFest on 9 July at Eagle Farm Racecourse, in Brisbane.
The Premier’s Reading Challenge was officially launched in May with Mr Targett joining Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Minister for Education Kate Jones at Bardon State School as they read to some eager students (pictured).
