Man rescued after tractor rollover near Toowoomba

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifted a man to hospital after he was injured in a tractor rollover on a private property near Toowoomba.

Club spokesperson Lauren Ritchie said the man in his 60’s had been driving a tractor before he lost control and it rolled down a ridge yesterday afternoon.

“Thankfully another person on the property was able to raise the alarm and call for help,” Ms Ritchie said.

“Queensland Ambulance Service, Queensland Fire and Emergency Service and Queensland Police Service were called to the scene before the aeromedical team arrived.

“He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital with suspected spinal injuries in a stable condition.”

Ms Ritchie said RACQ LifeFlight Rescue provided a critical service to the community, especially in rural areas.

“The rescue service crews are on all 24/7 and respond in any conditions to save lives,” she said.

“We are proud to sponsor Queensland’s rescue chopper network, we’d all be lost without them.”
