Worker crushed by air compressor
A man’s body was crushed when a large compressor rolled over him on a South Burnett worksite on Thursday morning.
The 33 year old sustained serious injuries after the seven tonne air compressor pushed him into a steel structure at Boondooma Dam, west of Murgon.
The man’s lower limb injuries were treated by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue and Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics at the scene. RACQ LifeFlight Rescue later airlifted the patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
