Crash causes big delays on the Sunshine Coast

RACQ has warned motorists to avoid Nambour Connection Road on the Sunshine Coast after a multi-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes this morning.

Club spokesperson Lauren Ritchie said there were long delays in both directions and as far back to the Bruce Highway.

“Police have closed the off ramp from the Bruce Highway on to Nambour Connection Road at the roundabout to stop more traffic moving through,” Ms Ritchie said.

“If you normally travel in this area please delay travel or plan an alternate route as emergency services respond to the incident.”

Ms Ritchie said there was also a multi-vehicle crash on the Pacific Motorway this morning southbound at Yatala.

“This crash also caused delays at the time but has since been cleared and traffic is now flowing freely,” she said.

“If you’re on the road and it is busy, please be patient, drive to conditions and don’t take any risks.

“We want everyone to make it to work, home or school safely everyday.”
