Bus vs truck: Woman cut free from crash
A woman has been airlifted to hospital after the food van she was driving collided with a bus on the Sunshine Coast, trapping her inside.
The woman was stuck in her vehicle on Steve Irwin Way for more than an hour this morning as Queensland Fire Emergency Service personnel worked to free her.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Helicopter then transported the patient to Brisbane where she was being treated for suspected abdominal, pelvic and leg injuries. She was in a stable condition.
The collision led to the closure of sections of the Highway for nearly five hours.
