We're here for bushfire victims

As Queenslanders and their homes remained under threat from bushfires raging across the State, RACQ has activated teams to support impacted members.

Club spokesperson Lucinda Ross said there had been 10 claims received for damage to property and three for motor vehicles from Adelaide Park, Yeppoon, and the Sunshine Coast.

“If you're a member and have been affected by the bushfires, we're here for you,” Ms Ross said.

“We have specialist staff responding to and assessing claims as they’re lodged.

“We’ve been in contact with affected members who are safe, some in emergency accommodation, and have discussed their needs with them. We’ve also offered emergency claim payments for those of our members who need it.”

Ms Ross said RACQ Bank and RACQ Foundation were also ready to provide support.

“If you need help with your home loan repayments, get in touch with us and we can tailor a plan to help get you back on your feet,” she said.

“While our priority is to get people back into their homes, RACQ Foundation funding is also available to Queensland groups affected by natural disasters including fire.
