Protest to cause traffic headache
RACQ has warned motorists to expect delays to this morning’s commute, with local residents to stop traffic during a protest against a high-rise development at Kangaroo Point.
The Courier Mail reported a group of locals would protest the tower development proposal near the intersection of Castlebar and Lambert Street.
RACQ spokesperson Clare Hunter said traffic in the area would likely be impacted from 730am on Wednesday.
“The protest is going to last for about an hour, so we do expect peak hour traffic to be affected this morning,” Ms Hunter said.
“Our advice is to make a plan to avoid travelling through Kangaroo Point, so you don’t get stuck in any congestion on your way to work or school.
“Check your journey at RACQ Road Conditions so you can delay travel or plan an alternate route.”
