Avoid the CBD after crash: RACQ

RACQ has warned motorists to expect major traffic delays in the Brisbane CBD this morning after a crash closed lanes in Petrie Terrace.

The Courier Mail reported a car and motorcycle collided on Countess Street inbound at Secombe Street just before 8am.

RACQ spokesperson Renee Smith said the crash had now been cleared, but traffic was gridlocked from Petrie Terrace to Alderley and Bowen Hills.

“Delays are expected for anyone travelling on Countess Street, Kelvin Grove Road, Enoggera Road and the Inner City Bypass,” Ms Smith said.

“If you’re travelling into the CBD this morning it’s worth considering an alternate route or delaying your travel.

“Please avoid the area while emergency services are on scene.”
