Truck crash causes havoc on major motorway

RACQ has warned commuters to expect long delays after two trucks crashed on the Logan Motorway and blocked lanes heading west early Wednesday morning.

Club spokesperson Clare Hunter said emergency services were on scene at the nose-to-tail crash at Heathwood.

“There are huge delays of up to 40 minutes with traffic crawling for 10 kilometres from Forest Lake to Berrinba,” Ms Hunter said.

“The trucks are on the westbound left shoulder and there’s debris on the road so pack your patience if you’re trying to get through.

“We’re also seeing unrelated congestion on the Pacific Motorway between Underwood and Shailer Park heading into the city.

“If you can avoid these areas do so, and check RACQ Road Conditions for the latest information before you set off.”
