Semi rollover causes delays in Brisbane

RACQ has warned commuters a truck rollover was set to cause major delays on a Brisbane motorway this morning and had forced the closure of lanes on the southbound carriageway.

The crash occurred at Eagle Farm on the Southern Cross Way about 4.30am, when the semi-trailer overturned on the Links Avenue off-ramp.

One male passenger suffered minor injuries and emergency services had reported the Links Avenue off-ramp was closed.

RACQ spokesperson Clare Hunter said traffic would likely be impacted throughout the morning peak hour.

“Drivers should avoid the area if they can, plan their journey and find an alternate route to their destination,” Ms Hunter said.

“Pack your patience if you must travel around Eagle Farm because we expect there’ll be congestion through out the area.”
