Brisbane drivers warned of CBD traffic changes

Motorists have been warned to plan their CBD travel this weekend as a busy Brisbane street was set to be closed.

Brisbane City Council (BCC) advised Mary Street, between Albert Street and Edward Street, would be closed from 6am to 6pm Saturday as crews worked to remove a tower crane.

BCC said northbound traffic on Mary Street would be redirected by signage and traffic control via Albert Street, Margaret Street and Felix Street, and southbound traffic would be detoured via Edward Street, Alice Street and Albert Street.

Local access would be maintained for residents and businesses, and traffic controllers would also be in place to assist pedestrians.

Locals could visit RACQ’s Road Conditions website for more information, or call BCC on (07) 3403 8888.
