Rollovers keep RACQ LifeFlight Rescue busy

A man and a boy have been airlifted to hospitals in south east Queensland following separate vehicle rollovers.

A cattle truck rolled at around 9:30 Tuesday morning, north of Chinchilla, trapping the driver who had been behind the wheel for more than six hours.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene, before he was flown by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A short time later a young boy was seriously injured in a car rollover in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter transported the child, who was a passenger in the vehicle, to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.

The boy’s condition was also listed as serious but stable.
