Brisbane commuters don’t strike it lucky
Brisbane bus commuters should expect travel disruption on Thursday, with the Rail, Tram and Bus Union to take further industrial action.
Courier Mail reported drivers would walk off the job between 10am-2pm and 6pm-10pm on Thursday, over pay and safety conditions.
Rail, Tram and Bus Union secretary Tom Brown said drivers and union members from a number of council departments would rally outside Brisbane City Hall during the first strike period.
Mr Brown said an alleged attack on a bus driver at Mount Gravatt East on Saturday night had pushed union efforts forward.
Commuters should check the TransLink website for the latest information on service disruptions.
