Hayman Island's newest luxury resort
Experience the Whitsunday Islands in style.
Tourists searching for a tropical getaway can now stay at Hayman Island by InterContinental, a new luxury resort in the Whitsundays.
The 4.5-star resort is managed by InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) and opened in July following a $135 million refurbishment on Hayman Island.
The resort offers three accommodation wings, including the Pool Wing, Beach Wing and Lagoon Wing, with 166 private guestrooms, suites or villas which offer breath-taking views of the Coral Sea.
A new addition to the island’s accommodation offering is the three-bedroom Hayman Beach House facing Hayman Beach. Each of the three suites has their own plunge pool, master ensuite with an over-sized bathtub, social spaces with open plan dining and living rooms, alfresco entertaining, private sun loungers and unobstructed beach access.
Wine and dine at five distinct restaurants and bars located at the resort. These include Pacific for breakfast, Bar Fifty which transports guests back to the 1950s with classic cocktails, AQUA offering pool-side flavours from the sea, Amici Trattoria serving delicious Italian cuisine and Bam Bam offering bold and zesty Asian fare.
Those travelling in large groups for conferences or special occasions can hire areas of the resort for events.
Top things to do on Hayman Island:
- Snorkelling or diving on the Great Barrier Reef
- Helicopter or seaplane flight
- The Plante Trekkers kids club
- Hayman Spa
Room rates start from AUD $750 per night.
