Find your true north at Brisbanes Wanderlust 108
For more than a decade, Wanderlust festivals have been inspiring people across the world to embrace the practice of yoga, meditation, good health and exercise into their busy lifestyles.
This October, Wanderlust 108 will take place at Orleigh Park in Brisbane and will feature world-leading yoga teachers, meditation experts, musicians, motivational speakers and artists.
Wanderlust Event General Manager Asha Xavier is expecting more than 2000 people to attend this year’s event as many people search for new ways to cope with stress and mental health issues.
“There’s basically a movement happening with people adopting or integrating yoga and meditation in their lifestyle,” Ms Xavier said.
“Yoga practice enables them to have a physical practice while also embracing a more spiritual or mindful practice to help them deal with the daily stresses of life.
“Hopefully after attending they can walk away with some new ideas of how to practice meditation and yoga.”
Wanderlust 108 kicks off with a 5km run or walk and is followed by a 75-minute yoga class and 25-minute mass meditation session.
Internationally renowned and inspirational yoga teachers Eoin Finn (US), Donovan McGrath (US) and Michael Wong (UK) will take to the main stage and teach participants how to maintain an inner body flow with the introduction of their unique brand of practice.
At the Wanderlust Speakeasy, participants will also have the chance to gather with inspirational minds such as Kemi Nekvapil for a session on ‘Building personal power’, while Supercharged Foods author Lee Holmes will host a discussion on gut health and Dr Nat Kringoudis will advise on ‘Tuning in and out to your hormones’.
To further recharge your mind, body and spirit, the Kula Marketplace will feature sustainable and eco-friendly vendors across health and wellness industries.
“The Kula Marketplace will offer curated arts, crafts, health and wellness products and we are also looking to bring in chefs from local restaurants,” Ms Xavier said.
This year’s charity partner will be Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) and for every ticket sold $1.08 will be donated to BCNA.
“Our audience is largely female based, so we wanted to partner with Breast Cancer Network Australia to spread awareness about breast cancer their services,” Ms Xavier said.
