Enjoy our must-do experiences

Competition put focus on the many wonders of our state.

The final list of RACQ’s 150 Must-Do’s in Queensland features the best our state has to offer locals and visitors.

RACQ asked Queenslanders to submit photos of their favourite “must-do” experiences from around the Sunshine State to help support our tourism industry which has been devastated by COVID-19.

The nominees were then put online for judging, with the most votes going to Kerryn Collins’ image of Aboriginal dancers performing at the Spirits of the Red Sand attraction (above) at the Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum.

The Gold Coast resident won the “Ultimate Queensland Experience” of return economy flights to Cairns for two adults and two children, seven nights’ accommodation and car hire, and vouchers to the value of $5500 from Experience Oz for some of the far north’s best tourist experiences.

The 10 runners-up each received $1500 Experience Oz gift vouchers. RACQ Marketing Coordinator Ashleigh McLennan said the competition entries showed how spoiled for choice Queenslanders were with so many stunning natural and man-made attractions in our own backyard.

“Entries were submitted from across the state and showed why Queensland is such a special place which both locals and visitors love exploring,” Ms McLennan said.

“We hope by looking at these photos people become inspired to revisit some of their favourite destinations or experience
new ones.”
