Traffic woes after crashes across the city
Club spokesperson Clare Hunter said a crash between a motorcycle and car before 7am on the Pacific Motorway at Greenslopes was still causing headaches for commuters.
“There are still extensive delays for people coming into the city, so pack your patience and drive to the conditions,” Ms Hunter said.
“Another crash further south at Underwood has now cleared but there is still residual congestion heading into town.”
Ms Hunter said breakdowns and traffic light malfunctions had also caused gridlock across the network.
“A broken-down truck in the middle of the Story Bridge southbound is holding up cars trying to get back on to Main Street and Shafston Avenue,” she said.
“There are lights on flash at Oxley Road at Corinda and general congestion at the usual pinch points on the Centenary Motorway and Ipswich Motorway.
“Avoid these areas is you can and check RACQ Road Conditions before you set off to plan your journey.”
