Help make a profound impact on the lives of women with breast cancer.

The RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run has a rich, 29-year history of bringing communities together in support of women affected by breast cancer. For the past decade, RACQ has proudly supported the RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run, working together with Mater for life-saving research and practical breast cancer support services.

On Sunday 8 March 2020, Brisbane will once again transform into a sea of pink as participants wind through the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Kangaroo Point and other iconic Brisbane sites on an all-new course with 6 km and 10 km routes.

Last year, our members who participated in the fun run raised over $379,000 and we hope to see this figure increase for 2020.

We’ve reached capacity!

The 2020 event has reached capacity, with 13,500 women, men and children registered to hit the route on Sunday 8 March. But there are many ways you can still get involved.

If you’ve registered already, kick start or gear up your fundraising today!

If every participant this year fundraises just $60, we’d raise a total of $810,000 – far exceeding the $750,000 goal post of total funds hoped to be raised at this year’s event.

Mater Chicks in Pink have a range of tips, tricks and resources to help you get on your way of achieving your fundraising goals. Click find out more to discover how you can put the FUN in fundraising!

Cheer squads

Join in the fun and show your support on the day by cheering on the sea of pink along the route or at the finish line at the finisher’s village.

There’s a new route course this year, which sees participants running, jogging and walking through Brisbane City, story bridge, along Brisbane’s iconic river and finally through the City Botanic Gardens where they’ll charge through the finish line.

Your cheering support will be sure to help participants push through and persevere when they need it the most.
