An opportunity exists to help shape the future of RACQ’s community support through the RACQ Foundation.
Due to board renewal, the RACQ Foundation is seeking to recruit a suitable skills-based, independent, non-executive director.
Created in 2011 following a series of
natural disasters, the RACQ Foundation
helps community groups in Queensland
recover from severe weather events,
drought and, more recently, COVID-19.
Through its Community Grant Program,
RACQ Foundation has given more than
$9 million to assist community groups,
charities and sporting clubs across the
The voluntary role would suit those with
senior executive or CEO-level experience
in the not-for-profit sector, charitable
governance and advocacy and/or
technology and digital innovation skills.
Experience as a non-executive director
isn’t a pre-requisite for this role and
applicants from outside south-east
Queensland would be highly regarded.
The RACQ Foundation board performs
its role through the following key
Demonstrating leadership and
defining the purpose of the RACQ
Setting the overall strategic direction
and policies of the RACQ Foundation
and monitoring implementation of,
and compliance with, the strategy
Establishing an Advisory Panel
and considering recommendations
regarding applications for funding,
and approving, declining or deferring
Monitoring the RACQ Foundation’s
operational and financial
performance, including approval
of budgets, business plans and a
schedule of delegations.
Approving annual financial
statements and reports and
accounting to key stakeholders
for the performance of the RACQ
Acting as ambassadors for the
Foundation, particularly at events
such as assistance trips.
