Shake a leg at Bony Mountain
The Bony Mountain Folk Festival returns in 2024 with another busy line-up of artists sure to appeal to all music tastes.
The festival has been held annually since 2011 on a 50-acre bush retreat owned by event co-ordinator Norma O’Hara Murphy.
The property, about 20 minutes from Warwick and two hours from Brisbane, offers camping sites for a “laid-back, stress-free week or weekend” featuring artists performing a range of music styles including folk, bluegrass, country, bush ballads and jazz.
The property’s gates open for campers on 16 September with the festival running from 20-22 September.
Norma said the family-friendly event’s aim was to support local talent.
“My career in country music has taken me all over Australia and around the world, so in my retirement! I thought this festival would be a great thing to do,” she said.
“Our not-for-profit, family-friendly event, run by volunteers, has become a well-respected platform for up-and-coming artists.
“We delight in creating a very special festival, celebrating the best of Aussie music and supporting local, home-grown emerging talent
“Our program is exciting again this year with lots of fresh faces, new ideas and stalls.”
Festival bookings are now open at bonymountainfolkfestival.com which also has more information on the line-up of artists and facilities available.
