We will cancel your card and begin the process to order a replacement. 

If you’re within Australia, your replacement card should arrive by post within 7-10 business days. If overseas and in an emergency, an international courier can be used – fees apply.

If this card is in your Apple Wallet, once your new card has been ordered, it will be reactivated in the wallet within 1-2 business days.

Do you need to report a lost, stolen or damaged credit card?

To activate an RACQ Bank debit card, you may:

  • Phone us on 13 1905 (or +61 7 3845 4851 if you’re overseas) between 8.30am - 11pm Monday to Friday or 8.30am - 5pm Saturday; or
  • Visit your nearest RACQ Bank branch with your new card and two forms of current identification; one of which includes a photo and one of which contains your signature.

If you’re unable to call us or visit an RACQ Bank branch, you may complete the card activation form mailed to you with your PIN and return it by mail to RACQ Bank. Please be aware it will take at least three business days from the date you posted it for your card to be activated.

Do you need to activate an RACQ Bank credit card?

RACQ Bank runs a 6-monthly bank statement delivery schedule, occurring in January and July of each year.  Paper statements are free; monthly statements are available on request at a cost of $1.

At present, RACQ bank does not provide a paperless eStatement service; however, this facility will be coming shortly and available by default to all new members once launched.  

Remember, you can always check your balances and transactions any time using Internet Banking or the RACQ Bank mobile app.

Funds transfer times vary depending on the method, to whom and where you are sending the money to. 

Transfers can be made via:

  • Internet Banking,
  • the RACQ Bank app,
  • in-branch or;
  • over the phone. 

All transfers made between your RACQ Bank accounts are instant; transfers to other Australian bank accounts using Internet Banking, the app, in-branch or over the phone should occur between 2 – 3 business days, however these time frames can vary.

International transfer times depend on the location and banking practices of the destination account.  A bank draft – a transfer method offered only in-branch – usually takes up to 2 business days.

This depends on the type of bank account you have with RACQ Bank. Customers with an Everyday Account enjoy unlimited free ATM withdrawals at any rediATM across Australia. Other ATMs may charge a withdrawal fee, which is levied by the ATM owner and not RACQ Bank.

Customers with other types of transaction or savings accounts may be charged ATM withdrawal fees. However, these fees may be rebated under our Fee Rebate Scheme. Please refer to our Fees and Charges Schedule for a full list of transaction fees.

The RACQ BSB number is 514-179.

BSB numbers are used in Australia to identify your institution’s bank branch. Used in conjunction with your account number, a BSB number tells us where your account is located. You will need your BSB and bank account number whenever you wish to receive money from, or send money to, other accounts (including direct debits).

 Any existing customers using BSB 804-002 please be advised this is still valid and active, however we recommend you use BSB 514-179 going forward. 

Using Internet Banking:

Log on using your Bank ID and Internet Banking password. Access Transfers and payments from the left-hand menu by clicking Accounts > Transfers and payments > Transfers and payments. From here you can pay a biller or payee (including BPAY), or make transfers between your accounts. Once you’ve entered the amount you wish to pay in $, Click Next to review and confirm the details are correct. Click Confirm if the details are correct and you wish to finalise the transaction.

Using the RACQ Bank mobile app:

Log on to the app using your Bank ID and password, or if you have previously registered one, your mobile app PIN.  From the Account Overview page, tap on Address Book. A list of your previously used billers will appear, or to add a new biller, tap the + symbol in the top right-hand corner. From here you may enter the biller code, reference number, nickname for your reference and the amount in $.

All transactions made on weekends, public holidays or after 5 p.m. Friday will be processed the following business day.

Put simply, savings interest is the money your savings earn while in your account. The amount of interest your savings attract will vary according to your chosen account; and your depositing and spending habits.

Generally, RACQ bank calculates – or compounds – interest daily and pays monthly, however this can vary depending on your account.

Yes, cheque books are available on certain RACQ bank accounts. For information on whether your account qualifies, drop into a Bank branch or call us on 13 1905.

Yes. Once your application has begun, click on Save application in the bottom-right hand corner of the form. You will be prompted to enter a few details.  When you wish to retrieve your application, return to the form in question and click Retrieve your application. An email with a reference number will be sent to you –  enter this along with other details as prompted and you can resume your application from where you last saved it. 

If you have noticed transactions on your Visa Debit or rediCARD statement that:

  • You don’t recognise;
  • Don’t match the payment amount;
  • Are recurring debits that were previously cancelled;
  • Are duplicated; or
  • Are for goods that have not arrived;

Call us immediately on 13 1905 or visit your nearest RACQ Bank branch Where we are able to, we will commence an investigation into your dispute and send you a letter to inform you of the outcome.

If the account has been closed, you may nominate a different account to be credited should your disputed transaction be paid.

To report an ATM shortpay, you may fill out our ATM cash discrepancy form or drop into an RACQ Bank branch, bringing as much information as you can about the dispute. We will begin an investigation and let you know as soon as we can of the outcome.

Visa payWave is a contactless method of payment for purchases under $100. The technology built into your payWave-enabled Visa card allows you to pay quickly and conveniently by waving your card over a secure contactless terminal without having to enter your PIN.

For purchases over $100, you will be prompted to enter your PIN.

Visa payWave cards carry the same layers of security as any other Visa chip card, including Visa’s Zero Liability, which ensures Visa cardholders are protected from unauthorised transactions. Furthermore, Visa payWave terminals are designed to only make one transaction at a time per card. Each transaction must be complete or void before another one can take place.

Any participating retailer or ATM that displays the contactless symbol can accept payWave payments.

With Bank@Post, RACQ Bank members can bank at any Australia Post outlet that displays the Bank@Post sign.

At Bank@Post you can:

  • Deposit up to $3,000 in cash per day
  • Make up to $1,000 of withdrawals per day
  • Check your account balance
  • Deposit cheques post
  • Pay your credit card bills
  • Perform financial transactions for your business

Please note: Bank@Post deposit via EFTPOS has been temporarily suspended from 27 July 2017. Members will still be able to use all other features of our Bank@Post service to deposit and withdraw funds.

    To use Bank@Post all you need is your RACQ Bank Visa Debit card or rediCard and your Personal Identification Number (PIN).

    Yes. If you have already installed a QT Mutual Bank Visa Debit card in your digital wallet (i.e. the Android, Apple or Samsung pay payment method), simply reinstall your card through the relevant digital wallet on your device and the digital image of your card will switch over to RACQ Bank's. From here, you can continue making purchases as normal.

    The physical, plastic version of your QT Mutual Bank-branded Visa Debit card in your actual wallet will continue to function as normal. Please note rediATM cards, RACQ Bank credit cards and your QT Mutual Bank credit card cannot be used.

    No, you can continue using your QT Mutual Bank Visa Debit Card or rediCARD until its expiry at which point you will be issued with an RACQ Visa Debit card.
