SMS security

RACQ Internet Banking requires all customers to register a unique mobile number – not used by anyone else – for SMS security. This also applies when using the RACQ Bank mobile app.

SMS security reduces the risk of fraud through the use of a one-time code being issued to authorise certain transactions. So, if you use the app to perform actions such as:

  • Transferring money to a new payee or biller (BPAY)
  • Adding a new payee or biller directly to your address book
  • Changing your PIN

You will be prompted to verify your identity via a unique code being sent to your mobile phone via SMS.

If you already have a unique mobile number recorded with RACQ Bank but it’s not enabled for SMS security, you can register it by calling us on 13 1905 or visiting your local RACQ Bank branch.

Logging out and timing out

From the Account overview page, tap on More > Log out to securely end your mobile banking session.

Once you are logged in to the RACQ Bank mobile app, the system will log you out automatically after 20 minutes.
