Katie Gibbs

Katie commenced her financial services career in 2004, initially working in retail banking with Suncorp. With a growing interest in financial services, she commenced formal financial planning studies in 2007. Katie commenced work within the financial planning division in late 2007 as a wealth consultant to assist financial planners in providing advice to their clients. It was here, whilst being mentored by senior financial planners, that Katie gained valuable knowledge and experience particularly around superannuation and related strategic advice. 

After commencing her Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) in 2009, Katie began providing client advice as a Financial Planner. Katie has experienced first-hand in her family what cancer can do to not only the person suffering but also to the family around them. It was during this time that Katie became increasingly aware of the substantial level of under insurance in Australia. Due to this Katie developed a strong passion and desire to ensure that her clients understand their insurance options and the importance of adequate insurance coverage.

In April 2010 Katie elected to specialise in personal insurance advice. She performed this role with great passion and in recognition of this received a national award for service and excellence in July 2010. 

To extend her knowledge and passion for personal insurance, Katie joined a privately owned financial planning firm in October 2012. This role as a personal insurance advisor allowed Katie to continue her chosen specialisation before broadening her experience working with an industry super fund aligned with the medical profession. Katie joined RACQ Financial  Planning in October 2017 as a Risk Insurance Advisor to continue focusing on personal insurance advice and solutions for her clients. Katie’s broad financial planning experience and knowledge uniquely  compliments her expertise in personal insurance advice.
