A finance seminar run by women, for women
RACQ proudly supports women through sponsorship of the RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run and raises funds for women with breast cancer. This year, we’re not only inspiring women to focus on their health and physical fitness, but to also take a moment to assess their financial fitness too.
RACQ Financial Planning invites you to a free seminar, hosted by women for women, to share key insights on how you can improve your financial fitness and take control of your financial security.
Let’s face it, women tend to be confronted with more financial challenges than men. Women often live longer than men and are more likely to have time out of paid work to care for children or parents - which can all be setbacks to being financially secure both now and in the future.
This is particularly evident when comparing the average superannuation balance for Australian women and men as they approach retirement age. The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) highlighted the disparity which showed the average superannuation balance is $237,022 for men and $123,642 for women. This gap has persisted over time despite increased female workforce participation. The good news is that more and more women are coming together to support each other to make positive changes for their financial future.
This seminar is aimed to provide education, encouragement and empowerment for women to take control of their financial future. Some topics we’ll cover, include:
- Personal finance guidelines for success
- Top 5 superannuation and investment tips
- Aligning your financial needs with the modern work environment
- The nature of financial systems and structures
- Becoming your own Chief Financial Officer
