Nissan Pathfinder Ti (2011)
by Barry Green,reviewed February 2011
The Ti is the range topper in a revamped Nissan Pathfinder three model line up where an upgraded 2.5-litre turbo diesel is the sole engine.
It’s an honest toiler, putting out an extra 14 kW of power (now 140 @4000 rpm) and 47 Nm of torque (now 450 @ 2000 rpm) than previously.
Fuel consumption has also improved, down from 10.2-litres/100 km to 9.0 with 5-speed auto.
What hasn’t changed is the essential being of the vehicle, which is very much old school with its simple (but effective) All Mode 4WD system and ladder frame. While it may lack refinement, the ‘Pathy’ is well equipped, robust and reliable. A major strength is its ability to 3000 kg (braked).
