Peugeot 4008 2.0 Allure AWD (2012)
by Barry Green,reviewed December 2012
Built on the same platform as Mitsubishi’s ASX, Peugeot’s 4008 SUV comes well equipped, particularly the range-topping Allure AWD (as tested).
The 4008 is covered by Peugeot’s Assured Service Plan, which caps servicing costs to just $330 a year for three years.
It’s one of the better looking SUVs on the market, inside and out. The ride is typically European – a little firm over our typical back roads, but the handling is poised and engine response adequate for category. However, hills and harsh acceleration test the six-step CVT. Combined fuel cycle is 8.1 litres/100 km.
