Preparing for your licence
Before you get your learner or provisional licence there are a few things you have to do to prepare.
To get your learner’s licence in Queensland you must be 16 years old.
Before you get your learners you will need to pass a road rules test. For information on the current road rules, go the Department of Transport and Main Roads > Road rules.

To get your P1 licence you must be 17 years old and have logged 100 hours of supervised driving time, which you can record with our free Learn2go mobile app
Once you have your hours you can submit them to the TMR a minimum of 12 business days before your practical driving test.
