Travelling in Australia or visiting from overseas?
If you find it inconvenient to take your own child restraint with you, here are some options to consider.
- Some hire car companies have connections with restraint hire companies and can assist in sourcing and fitting a restraint to your hire car.
- Organisations such as Kidsafe also hire restraints http://www.kidsafe.com.au/
- Alternatively, search the internet for a restraint hire company in the area you’re visiting.
Note that restraints from other countries cannot be used in Australia due to our unique safety requirements.
