How will my claim be settled?
Depending on your policy type we may settle your claim in one of 4 ways:
- Repair or rebuild which can also include restoration, redesign work, reproduction, investigation, demolishing, and arranging of services; or
- Replace the damaged items with new ones; or
- Pay you a cash settlement* amount based on the cost to repair, rebuild or replace, in some instances we may be required to pay your financier first; or
- Reimbursement of costs you have already paid.
Our Claims team will discuss the different options available to you at time of settlement.
* A cash settlement may be required in circumstances where issues such as, but not limited to, geographical or supply chain constraints are present.
